In the XXI century, the company is considered sussessful if it not only can thoroughly satisfy the demands of the consumers but can participate in demad formation itself by the application of highly effective technological resources. Nowadays, only those companies are successful, which have effective management system. Media industry market, as well as any other branch markets, can be referred to as the entity of social and economic relations, with the help of which the realization of goods and services is carried out. Modern processes, actively going on in the media sphere, the structure of the media undustry and its constituent elements require special consideration from territorial and practical approach. In current circumstances, it is difficult to name other types of business that are as different, dynamic and progressing as media. Media Business is increasingly becoming the essential prerequisite for sussessful life of every individual, his/her social and community activity and prosperous business. In spite of the fact that general statements of the medial business is broadly presented in contemporary scientific literature, the peculiarities of media business in Georgia is less studied and is still the object for discussions. Today, the menegement of Georgian media companies faces two tasks: On one hand, in highly competitive market they have to provide high quality product (contents). It is connected with high expenses, and, at the same time, with less demad for such products from the society. On the other hand, for the purpose of income mobilization, the management of media industry has to provide the consumers with poor quality products (primitive soap operas etc.). It has negative influence on the company image, though it can bring certain financial benefit. The fact that on contemporary media market CNN, BBC and other existing media companies are considered successful is the achievement of their management and quality product (contents). That’s why, it is more important for them to make programs of cognitive character, than to load the air time with cheap soap operas. Today, in difference from leading media companies, Georgian media companies mainly rely on local market. However, active application of online operation principles in media market makes Georgian media companies as well to focus on not only local market, but also struggle to compete with international media companies. Judging from all, mentioned above, it is evident that current tendency causes significant changes in practice and managerial models of Georgian media companies. Industry consolidation, vertical integration, more precise segmentation and price formation, as well as achievement of success in severe competition are considered the main challenges for the management bodies of media companies. On modern stage, the most significant factor for successful integration in market economy is the development of media market. Georgia initially tried not to stay behind of the development processes in media business. However, it was only noticeable on the initial stage of appearance of media business in the world. Consequently, corresponding to modern requirement of social and economic development of the country, the issue of media business development intensified, which, itself, is impossible without existence of efficient media management. Therefore, the analysis of the problems existing in media business managent process, setting right orientators is the core direction towards the effecient operation of Georgian media and is one of the actual problems of scientific research.
